@coolsim9999999 I think of all sorts of Sims stuff while I'm trying to get sleep...at breakfast...at work...the simsy part of my brain doesn't shut off easily๐
I'm glad I'm not the only one trying to level the camera when I'm not playing with the Sims' game! I'm so ashamed of it! ๐ The other day, I was watching tv, when I started waving my hand in the air, trying to readjust the camera... I guess my brain thought there were some sort of invisible mouse in the air, lol!
Also, when I see people on TV, sometimes I observe how they are dressed, what makeup they are wearing, what accesories they are using, how they like to have their hair/beard done, etc. I imagine them as SIMS!
(I like when a sim makes sense: the way they dress reflects their personnality, taste, hobbies, ... I like to spend time doing a makeover of the townies in my game, so they make sense.) So after observing the person, I create that person in my game, or I change a townie to a doppleganger of that person!
Which means that I completely stop paying attention to the movie story or what's happening in the tv show to only pay attention to the character creation in my head! XD!!!!

It is great that you enjoy making simversions of people that you see on tv @2hCreations ๐ Although it does change your attention on the show that you are watching, and instead you start to work out in your mind how to create the sim! Sometimes when we get an idea for a build or a Sim, we want to see how we can do it in the game and it captures our attention until we end up doing it.

You use the bathroom, you finish, and only when you're half way to the kitchen do you realize what you're doing and you just shrug your shoulders and go wash your hands in the kitchen sink anyway.โ

Time for me to catch up in a few ๐!
- simgirl10101 year agoHero
I still have a few pages to catch up but @simsplayer818 the plant thing is hilarious. I'm so not a green thumb but I take great pride in my sims' gardening skills.
- rosemow1 year agoHero
It is great that we can be good gardeners through the lives of our sims even if our real life gardening skills arenโt too good! @simgirl1010 ๐
- simsplayer8181 year agoHero@simgirl1010 Then I got a new mobile phone and I lost all my fertiliser testing data! I had a whole page that said things like...
Rose + Outstanding Manure =
Bluebell + Foul fish =
and so on...
I lost a whole page of fertiliser findings lol as my Notes app didn't transfer over and I didn't take a screenshot!
Usually when you get a new phone it's the photos and contacts you worry about first but nope, not for me! I lost all my manure findings ๐ฅบ.
All that work, sigh. - Ellupelluellu1 year agoHero
@2hCreations , @OzSimsFamily , I do the camera angle, zooming, hitting pause, all that everytime I watch something sims related.
I really got mad one time when it did not do what I wanted and was sure my mouse was broken ๐ฟ

@thesimsplayer888 When I first started gardening in game I followed a chart that I found on Carl's Guides website. Now I just use whatever is available in my sim's inventory. ๐
Most of the time it's apples or carrots as I keep a good supply of those to hand feed to my horse. I've also been known to go into buy mode debug and purchase the bags of fertilizer.
- simsplayer8181 year agoHero@simgirl1010 Carl's Guides are great. I use them a lot especially for collecting. So much so that if I type the name Carl on my phone it wants to type Carl's Sims Guide on the suggestion strip on the keyboard ๐.
Another sign that I Sim a lot lol. - OzSimsFamily1 year agoSeasoned Ace
@simsplayer818 @simgirl1010 I also use Carlโs guides and have done for other iterations of Sims as well and my suggestion also brings up Carlโs guides very quickly as well as it being bookmarked. In fact, when I look at my computer bookmarks tab, approximately two-thirds are Sims related - more indicators that I Sim a lot!

Like many others have posted, Carlโs Sims is a great resource for help with The Sims. I have used both the Sims 3 and 4 sites over many years. Many simmers have found help there whether just new to the game or have been playing for a long time. ๐

Welcome to this thread! You donโt have to be ashamed of trying to move the camera when youโre not playing TS4! I like your story about waving your hand in front of the TV! Itโs cool that you picture that people are Sims and try to figure out things like their makeup! Matching how a Sim dresses and their traits, etc. is a good idea ๐, and I like to do that, too! Itโs awesome that you try to create people on TV in the Sims or makeover the townies to match their hobbies, etc.! Maybe recording movies or shows would be a good idea when you start to drift into how you would create someone in TS4 ๐ค?
- coolsim99999991 year agoLegend
Haha --- That sink thing is so funny! I guess you can make all the sinks bathroom sinks by choosing the type in the game now ๐! It would be funny if we could actually label our sink types IRL! Then, you would only be allowed to do the dishes in the bathroom if you set it up that way๐!

I'm glad that your mouse didn't break ๐!
- coolsim99999991 year agoLegend
Oh no ! It totally stinks that you lost all that information about fertilizer! You were more upset about your fertilizer testsโฆthatโs so funny๐!

@simsplayer818 @simgirl1010 @rosemow I agree that Carlโs Guide is very good for collecting, as well as many other types of Sims 4-related things! That site is usually the one that is suggested first when I type things in (especially for informational purposes.
@rosemow Thatโs a lot of Sims bookmarks! I have lots of TS4 bookmarks, and it definitely means that we Sim a lot๐!

I've been known to go into debug when I need something fast, which also shows that I Sim a lot๐!
- rosemow1 year agoHero
Debug is very helpful @coolsim9999999 ๐ You can find lots of items there that are either not available in the normal build mode catalogue or that you may need to use for a build, without your sim going through normal gameplay to collect it that way.
- coolsim99999991 year agoLegend
I think that's why I build so fast, sometimes! I pull a few items out before I even make a room so that it will inspire me. It's even more helpful if it's for a challenge (and I do quite a lot of those) because then there's a brief/theme for the build! Sometimes, I'm really surprised about which small objects I chose to use in a room/build when it's done --- although, I can tell what my basic ideas were before I began the project ๐!
I love debug ๐! It's so good because I Sim a lot that all of those items are there, as well as liveedit. It's huge with both modes of debug turned on now that we have so many packs and kits! It's also great if you're in the jungle, for example, and your Sim gets poisoned. Actually, since you can't put items in Sims' inventories once your on vacation, I "pack" for the jungle, anyway by going through debug to get the poison antedote, as well as a few other items so thatI don't have to spend forever in the marketplace once we arrive.I've also had rows and rows of whatever my Sims found when we get home. My favorite spot to sort things out is the floor of the kitchen/ldining/living area of my main families 8 story house ๐. - coolsim99999991 year agoLegend
Whew! I think I got back to everyone ๐!
Here's another you know you Sim a lot when...
I always check my Simsโ needs and keep them in the green, but, my needs can get slightly in the yellow, sometimes when I play TS4๐!
I think we all need 500 reward points times 15 million or something to buy endless moodlet solvers...a lifetime supply, so we can Sim all the time๐!
- simgirl10101 year agoHero
@coolsim9999999 I'm trying very hard to resist going into debug and getting crystals. ๐ฌ My main sim Julianna has already completed the collection but I've either sold the crystals or sent to the Geo Council to be broken down into elements'
- rosemow1 year agoHero
You need to make sure that your real life needs are still okay as well as the needs of your sims when playing @coolsim9999999 ๐
It is good to take breaks whilst simming to have something to eat and drink, as well as go for a walk so that you donโt get too tired. Sometimes though, when playing the game you may want to keep playing and see what happens next or finish a creation, although you are tired and do need to get some sleep.
- coolsim99999991 year agoLegend
I think you should go into debug for a limited quantity of each of them, since your Sims have already completed the collection๐! Julianna deserves it๐!
- rosemow1 year agoHero
I hope that your crystal collecting goes well if you have her looking to replace the ones that she sold @simgirl1010 ๐ It is great that Juliette has completed the collection.
