@2hCreations , @OzSimsFamily , I do the camera angle, zooming, hitting pause, all that everytime I watch something sims related.
I really got mad one time when it did not do what I wanted and was sure my mouse was broken ๐ฟ
@thesimsplayer888 When I first started gardening in game I followed a chart that I found on Carl's Guides website. Now I just use whatever is available in my sim's inventory. ๐
Most of the time it's apples or carrots as I keep a good supply of those to hand feed to my horse. I've also been known to go into buy mode debug and purchase the bags of fertilizer.
- simsplayer8181 year agoHero@simgirl1010 Carl's Guides are great. I use them a lot especially for collecting. So much so that if I type the name Carl on my phone it wants to type Carl's Sims Guide on the suggestion strip on the keyboard ๐.
Another sign that I Sim a lot lol. - OzSimsFamily1 year agoSeasoned Ace
@simsplayer818 @simgirl1010 I also use Carlโs guides and have done for other iterations of Sims as well and my suggestion also brings up Carlโs guides very quickly as well as it being bookmarked. In fact, when I look at my computer bookmarks tab, approximately two-thirds are Sims related - more indicators that I Sim a lot!

Like many others have posted, Carlโs Sims is a great resource for help with The Sims. I have used both the Sims 3 and 4 sites over many years. Many simmers have found help there whether just new to the game or have been playing for a long time. ๐

I've been known to go into debug when I need something fast, which also shows that I Sim a lot๐!
- rosemow1 year agoHero
Debug is very helpful @coolsim9999999 ๐ You can find lots of items there that are either not available in the normal build mode catalogue or that you may need to use for a build, without your sim going through normal gameplay to collect it that way.
- coolsim99999991 year agoLegend
I think that's why I build so fast, sometimes! I pull a few items out before I even make a room so that it will inspire me. It's even more helpful if it's for a challenge (and I do quite a lot of those) because then there's a brief/theme for the build! Sometimes, I'm really surprised about which small objects I chose to use in a room/build when it's done --- although, I can tell what my basic ideas were before I began the project ๐!
I love debug ๐! It's so good because I Sim a lot that all of those items are there, as well as liveedit. It's huge with both modes of debug turned on now that we have so many packs and kits! It's also great if you're in the jungle, for example, and your Sim gets poisoned. Actually, since you can't put items in Sims' inventories once your on vacation, I "pack" for the jungle, anyway by going through debug to get the poison antedote, as well as a few other items so thatI don't have to spend forever in the marketplace once we arrive.I've also had rows and rows of whatever my Sims found when we get home. My favorite spot to sort things out is the floor of the kitchen/ldining/living area of my main families 8 story house ๐. - coolsim99999991 year agoLegend
Whew! I think I got back to everyone ๐!
Here's another you know you Sim a lot when...
I always check my Simsโ needs and keep them in the green, but, my needs can get slightly in the yellow, sometimes when I play TS4๐!
I think we all need 500 reward points times 15 million or something to buy endless moodlet solvers...a lifetime supply, so we can Sim all the time๐!

@coolsim9999999 I'm trying very hard to resist going into debug and getting crystals. ๐ฌ My main sim Julianna has already completed the collection but I've either sold the crystals or sent to the Geo Council to be broken down into elements'
- rosemow1 year agoHero
You need to make sure that your real life needs are still okay as well as the needs of your sims when playing @coolsim9999999 ๐
It is good to take breaks whilst simming to have something to eat and drink, as well as go for a walk so that you donโt get too tired. Sometimes though, when playing the game you may want to keep playing and see what happens next or finish a creation, although you are tired and do need to get some sleep.
- coolsim99999991 year agoLegend
I think you should go into debug for a limited quantity of each of them, since your Sims have already completed the collection๐! Julianna deserves it๐!
- rosemow1 year agoHero
I hope that your crystal collecting goes well if you have her looking to replace the ones that she sold @simgirl1010 ๐ It is great that Juliette has completed the collection.
- coolsim99999991 year agoLegend
@rosemow
I play about 15 minutes longer than I should before I eat or sleep when Iโm getting into building or playing the game ๐.Going for a walk is a good idea๐. I do that sometimes. Actually, Iโve started exercising to lose the weight I need to.
I have had several occasions when I did stay up for 3 extra hours just to complete a build or finish a special goal that a Sim was working on. It happens when a new pack comes out๐!
- coolsim99999991 year agoLegend
This also shows that I Sim a lot: ๐
I saw a fabric wall hanging, and I said, โThat looks like the grassy swatch with little purple flowers flooring that came with Eco Lifestyle (well the terrain paint is base game!)
- rosemow1 year agoHero
It is always fun to explore the new features or use the new items when a new pack is released @coolsim9999999 ๐
It is great what you wrote about the fabric wall hanging that you saw. It does show that you sim a lot ๐
- coolsim99999991 year agoLegend
Yes it is! Even stuff packs or kits๐! I can't wait for the crystal sp on February 29! I hope that new tree is in debug or regular build mode! I also can't wait to try making jewelry with crystals ๐!
LOL...yes, I was amazed that it was right there in the store ๐ฎ! I think that was 2 or 3 years ago๐ค. However, I notice things all the time, houses/clothes/accessories,etc.๐!

Exactly! I do that with objects I see, clothing, etc. If something reminds me of an item from the Sims 4 game, I can say if it's from the base game or from a DLC and I can say which one! XD
Another anecdote: I was looking at interior decoration photos on pinterest, and I saw a bedroom with the arrangement of objets + furniture similar to what I have already done in the Sims. So I think in my head (with a bitchy voice): "They think they are so unique? I do this all the time!" ๐ LOL!!! - coolsim99999991 year agoLegend
Awesome๐! I can pick out the pack/base game something is from too --- and if it costs more or less than in TS4 if it's in build mode!
I love your story about that bedroom๐! I recognize what I've done in the game when I look at TV/pictures, etc --- especially on decorating shows๐!

Also you mentioned Moodlet Solvers earlier, I have a tip to start the game with a lot of reward points. I complete the Making Money Scenario first and the Fortune aspiration (I have a 5 minute method to do that for a new household but I don't post it as it's a massive spoiler. If anyone wants it, it's my own cheat I created as I can't use performance cheats on console and I usually DM it to anyone who wants it). I also briefly get them to live with a household that has a house that achieves the Mansion Baron aspiration.
So for a solo Sim I get them to be a roomie of Summer Holiday at the start as her house is a share house that meets the mansion baron aspiration. Add together the points from all aspirations plus the scenario and they have loads of reward points to make life easier. I start with Steel Bladder, Carefree and Savant for 9,000 total plus I have enough for a few others too like Seldom Sleepy. - Ellupelluellu1 year agoHero

Hehee, I am bit stubborn in that, It's hard way or no way ๐ no debug stuff for me ๐
- rosemow1 year agoHero
I hope that your crystal collecting goes well and that your sim finds all of the crystals @Ellupelluellu ๐

@EllupelluelluLOL --- just go into debug --- join the "dark side"...๐
If not, happy searching! ๐
- coolsim99999991 year agoLegend
Oh, a tip! Yay! ๐
That sounds like such a cool idea๐๐!
Those are really good reward points to choose for a new Sim!
