Your Own Traits

I always think about what traits I have. The traits I want to have, I guess, are; Creative, Good and Generous. But honestly I think my traits are; Socially Awkward, Squeamish and Perfectionist.

Can you all post what traits you would give to yourself and say if you think those traits are your realistic ones or your 'dream' traits.

Interesting question. Realistic traits: bookworm, geek, creative. Also, clumsy. And cat lover. Maybe quick learner, too.

  • My traits would have to be Family, Geek, Clumsy, Socially Awkward, Cat Lover, Loyal, Generous, Good, Loner, Responsible, Empathy, Manners, Cold Acclimation, Storm Chaser, Sincere, Night Owl, Observant & Creative.                                                          There are other personality traits that I have but it's not in my Sims game.

  • Definitely a fun idea, I like to think that when a lot of people play the sims there are a lot of them that put a little bit of themselves into the Sims they create.

For Example, I feel the strongest connection to the Twins in my story. They aren’t my SimSelf. But, I definitely feel like a bit of me is in both of them. Regardless of the Sim, I think all of my MerSims have a little bit of me in them. It’s the thing that makes storytelling and writing fiction so personal. It’s incredibly hard to not put some part of yourself into a story, the characters, and more.

For me, the three core traits I would choose for myself would be:

    1. Child of the Ocean
    2. Music Lover
    3. Clumsy

I grew up close to the sea. My second home was the beach, and the ocean has always been a place I feel comfortable swimming in and at home in. I discovered my talent for swimming in the ocean.

I have playlists I listen to with a minimum of 400 songs while I write. Music is something I can’t imagine living without. It helps me get in the zone for anything that requires more concentration and it’s generally just enjoyable. Music definitely has a way of capturing emotions and helps me to transfer that expression of emotion into my writing.

I usually have one significant clumsy thing happen every day. Whether it’s tripping on my feet, accidentally breaking something because the items slips through my butterfingers, and etc. I’ve gotten pretty good at just laughing off the mistakes, especially since no real harm is ever done. Just these little mistakes that keep things interesting.

A good book is always fun to read and good food is always welcome. I can relate to being a bit of a geek.
