Regarding the Overmax locking bug for those with bloodline traits:
Okay, I'm not going to claim that this will work with everyone. I just noticed that it worked for me.
My main spellcaster, with a weak bloodline, had reached virtuoso, and then gained enough points to wrap around. She did not get "refunded" any points, but I could not access the perk tab. She wrapped around again, and I still couldn't access the perk tab. Other than the perk tab not being accessible, everything looked fine, so my encounter with the bug might be different than others. Also of note, I'd been aware of the bug and so selected her perks expecting to run into it, so this wasn't a great tragedy for my plans, though there were still a couple of perks I wanted to get for her.
Then I picked up Island Living, and as part of installing IL, I did a repair on my game. This is something I do every time I install new official content. I also do it after patches.
When I went in to play tonight, I could access the perk tab and spend her extra perk points.
Now, I don't plan on getting her any more perks, so if/when she gets enough spellcaster xp to max out the bar again, I won't be impacted by it at all, but I acknowledge that that is a personal thing.
Her daughter (currently a toddler) has an ancient bloodline (the father is the son of Emelia and Darrel Charm) so things may be different with her.
Again, not saying that installing new content and/or repairing the game will work for everyone, and I've recently picked up a handful of mods, some of which impact magic (though not Zero's fix for this, as I'm a little confused about its limitations) and I use MCCC - and any of those could be having an impact on my game as well. I just thought it might be something that people may want to be aware of, in case it can help their game.
