Are you sure this still exists in the game? I thought it was removed after the overhaul.
Personally I love memories but not like in the Sims 4 or Sims 3.
I only liked them in the Sims too because the Sim would judge if they were positive or negative depending on their personality.
Also going to the memories tab always felt like you could read your sims lifestory which I thought was awesome. If you didn't know a lot about a premade sim you could just go to their memories and learn all interesting facts about their life before you started playing them.
The photo album was also a great way to keep photos of your gameplay and go back to every now and then.
I think they could take the Sims 2 memory system and expand it more since it is a bit outdated. The concept itself though is the best one for me though.
The Sims 4 system just felt so meaningless.
