I updated the game today and all the kitchen counters and desks (including chairs and computers) have disappeared from all my homes. I tried to put them back but I get an error message saying there is a problem with the script in the building mode.
Same problem and script fail error on PC here too.

Yes, I have the same issue. I cannot place them from household inventory or buy new ones, I get the "script failed" error
I have been frequently checking Sims 4 Studio for an update. Since this seems to be an issue everybody is having, the next update to S4S should release a batch fix. They take a while to update sometimes though so let's just hope that the EA team is aware of this and fixes it soon
i had the same problem but i fixed it, it turned out to be a 18+ script mod that had nothing to do with counters or desks
which mod was it?
