Add/remove Sim option greyed out

So recently, I've been having an issue with Sims 4 where I can't add or remove a family member form a household as the option to do so has been greyed out when I go to the manage households option in the main menu despite having less than 8 members to a household and the issue seems to occur on all households I've created. Is there any reason why this is happening and what can I do to fix it?

    @ynn99tzwer1u   Hello!  I just took a look at my Manage Households and all of them have the edit and split options, in contrast to the image you shared.   So I have to ask the dreaded question ... do you have any mods installed?  If so, it could be that one of them is creating a conflict in your game.
