Adopted sims, now some of the family tree has erased

Sorry the title is vague but couldn’t have many characters. Basically, two teen sims in my legacy challenge lost their mother so I had a distant young adult relative adopt them as caregiver. Howeve...

@lucyjenkins7 If this only happened recently, you could revert to an older version of the save:

Otherwise, you'd need a mod (I believe MCCC would be sufficient) to remove current parental relationship and add back the original one.
