Re. dish dragging, please make sure you've updated to the most recent hotfix patch. That bug was fixed: Drag No Longer Working for several objects | EA Forums - 12296987
For cooking, there's a current bug that you'll hit with some animations. See Broken & Updated Mods & CC under New Bugfix Mods for a temporary fix.
