all mods are corrupted?
Hi, I'm having an issue with my game. Every time I try to start the game, it gives me this error, "Unable to start: Cannot start because the below file appears to be corrupted. If this file is a mod please remove it and try again. If not, please repair or reinstall the game via Origin." I've gotten this a few times before, and usually I remove the mod, and everything runs normally again. But this time, when I remove the mod, it just goes down the list of my mods folder naming mods I know are not corrupted, because they are up to date, and I've never had any issues with them before. I've seen other people with the same issue, but they always get the errors after trying to transfer their mods from a different device, like from mac to PC for example. I was not transferring mods, this issue just appeared out of nowhere.
I have tried
- repairing the game via origin
- reinstalling the game
- clearing my cache
- deleting the mods folder, and generating a new one
- batch testing my mods
- contacting EA Player Help Services (I was given a link to an article for troubleshooting graphics and told to contact Microsoft support if that didn't fix the issue?? This was odd considering I have no issue with my graphics, and I find it hard to believe that Microsoft support would help me with my Sims 4 game, lol.)
