- crinrict2 years agoHero+@vbzgkm8s5d0w By resetting, you mean you renamed your user folder and test a new save game ?
Yes, I looked at the guide here - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-PC/READ-FIRST-Troubleshooting-your-Game/m-p/3621199
For resetting without reinstalling
Though I didn’t start a new game to see if the error was still there for the new game
- crinrict2 years agoHero+@vbzgkm8s5d0w Could you please test a new save (with empty mods folder) and check if it happens there too ?

Does every party actually become a Spooky party (the name of the party) or is it that none of the parties you have, have goals. If the is issue you have is actually giving the correct party name i.e. Dinner, House, etc. and there are no goals when the party starts, It usually means that the checkbox to show goals wasn't checked. There is a checkbox beside every party on the list in the panel where you chose the party. That box can get unchecked pretty easily and I find that I have to check it again when I plan a lot of my parties.
Hope this helps.
They actually become spooky parties - the name of the party is spooky party and the guests all change into costumes. There are no goals on it regardless of whether I checked the goal option when planning the party.
I’ll try this!
Update - the error seems to be for just one Sim so far, not all of them.
- crinrict2 years agoHero+@vbzgkm8s5d0w If you upload the Sim to the library and place in a new save, does the issue persist ?
embarrassed but I’ve figured out the problem- I wasn’t actually clicking on the right party 😓
I would check the box for goaled event on one party but the main selection was still on spooky and I hadn’t noticed.
Thanks to everyone who tried to help, I appreciate it and sorry for wasting time 😅
