Anyone elses game not launching?

Sims 4 app isn’t launching from EA and i’m unsure why or what to do. it did this afew weeks ago, i wasn’t able to play for about a week and then it went back to normal but i never figured out what it was, deleting the app and redownloading it didn’t seem to work either. i do have mods and cc downloaded and was wondering if theres a broken one somewhere? but i’m not sure how to find it. any help would be SO appreciated, thank you! 🙏🏼 (i’m on a mac btw)
