If MCCC is present and appears not be there in live mode, then go to Game Options and make sure you have checked the 2 boxes and click on the box to apply the changes to enable CC and script mods. Then exit and reload the game. Go into your save and load a lot with sims on it. Click on a sim, the mailbox or a computer to see if you have the MCCC option. I assume you have already unzipped the MCCC download and placed it in the mods folder since you are seeing it in the list of mods that you get when you start the game but if you have not unzipped it, then the mod won't work or show up in the game. It will work in a subfolder in the mods folder. That's what I do.
Hope this helps.
- 3 years ago@CGrant56 it's unzipped and i made sure the folders weren't too deep, but it's still not working ☹️

Are you on a Mac or PC? And do you have OneDrive or iCloud enabled? The game may be looking in the wrong place where you have MCCC installed so it is not actually reading the files on startup. What is the exact path to your Electronic Arts>The Sims 4>Mods folder?
Hope this helps.
