@Malirob For an issue with a very specific aspect of MCCC use, the best place to get support is directly from the creator, who has a support server on Discord linked from the mod site. If you have CC default eyes, all sorts of things can go wrong, though. If that's the case, try removing those from the Mods folder (delete localthumbcache too) then see if you can copy/paste makeup for eyes successfully.
Yes, I reached out to their Discord and they were also not able to help unfortunately. That is why I wanted to see if this user ever found the issue. It is not these specific CC eyes causing the issue. It happens to all of my CC eyes. There is a YouTuber / Streamer I watch who has the exact same eyes and is able to copy and paste without issues. I wanted the last resort to be the half / half method, but alas, it seems that is what it has come to. Thanks for responding tho!
@Malirob Do you have multiple default CC eye files? That can cause issues.
If not -- if your CC eye files can't be conflicting with each other -- it might be worth testing without them entirely (remove the files temporarily from the folder), and then testing with just one of them in the folder. It could be that the presence of a bad file causes the issue. And you might save yourself a full 50-50.
Yes, I do have multiple default CC eyes! I would love to get rid of all the defaults but I cannot find them. I have removed most of them but I think some of the creators categorized them under a different name and not "default." A while ago, I tried removing all my "eye" / "contact" files and they were still showing up in defaults ☹️ If you have a fix for finding / removing all default CC eyes, I am all ears (or eyes lol)!!
But since you mentioned it might be caused by defaults, I do remember downloading a new set of eyes a few months back, and maybe that is the issue. I am not sure if they were defaults or contacts. The copy / paste issues had not always been an issue. it was working fine at some point. It may be the set of eyes I downloaded a while back. I will test when I get home and give a follow up!
@Malirob A basic principle of default body parts is you have to pick one. They're replacing the basic Maxis eyes, and only one file can do that. Remove all the default eyes, then pick the one style you want.
