BB Mode Stops Responding and Crashes when I try to search for items in search ba

Hi guys,

Recently, every time I attempt to search for an item in build buy on Sims 4 (I'm playing on Mac) it won't let me type more than one letter before the game stops responding and crashes. 

I have done the following to try and fix the issue:

-Game Updated

-Game and Origin uninstalled and reinstalled

-Laptop Restarted

-Game Repair

-Removed old files and folders and spawned new ones

-Deleted the caches 

-Removed all CC/downloads and reinstalled

Also I don't have any game mods, only CC from TSR and patreon, but I got rid of it all and reinstalled some and that still didn't fix the issue.

I'm at a bit of a loss, it's really difficult not being able to use search function to find the content I want to build and decorate with.

Any ideas?

    @hdelders 

    I’ve tested on an Intel Mac running Ventura and a silicon Mac running Sonoma, with a sim on the lot and without, in windowed mode and fullscreen with game mode on (Sonoma),in vanilla games, and cannot repro this issue so I’m assuming it is most probably Mod/CC related.

    Unfortunately still the same thing - perhaps I just have too much CC.

    I meant previously. When I start a clean file everything runs fine, it's as soon as I start adding in ANY CC at all. Even just one CC file.

    Ok, thanks for confirming a vanilla game works. Hopefully someone more familiar with CC/Mods will be able to help you further.

    Electronic Arts > Sims 4 > Mods 

    Then they all go in there as package files, there are no zipped files or any other file types in there. Any lots/sims go into the Tray directly, no sub-folders.

    I used to use the TSR downloader but it started messing up for me since this issue started so I uninstalled it.
