Books disappearing into the void
I have bought a number of skill books, and I noticed 1 of them was not in the bookshelf anymore.
I looked for "clean up books" but it wasn't an option. I checked all my sims' inventories and it wasn't there.
I went to re-purchase it and it did not say I owned any under the tab to select how many I want. So I bought another one.
I have just asked my sim to go and read another skill book. She got up autonomously to vomit into the toilet (she has an ailment from the new pack). She took the book with her, then it completely disappeared in the process of her throwing up in thetoilet, turning around and washing her hands. The game completely deleted my book, and I had to buy another one. It was not added to her inventory, and again "clean up books" was not there.
All mods moved to desktop. thumbcache deleted.
New save
- New sim
- Ailment given
- Read multiple books
- multiple vomits - each time pulled book back out by sink
Then tried existing save that problem originally occured in
- Ailment given
- read rocket science 2 for a long time (took ages to vomit)
- had multiple actions of "reread" queued
- ran to vomit - did not pull book back out of pocket by sink, but instead somehow went back to the bookshelf to take it out.
I will try again on this existing family without the multiple queues of "reread" to see what happens

I forgot to delete the thumbcache first time - must have been a lingering mod issue - I'll double check all up to date
