i'm having this problem too, took all my cc out and discovered it's not cc related, and it only happens in houses that were already in the game.
when i put a new family on a new lot it worked fine, but when i tested families i was already playing, they didn't eat at all.
and apparently it somehow broke all the houses i saved in the gallery. tried putting them on a new save and sims wouldn't eat :( so much for spending hours decorating my pretty houses..
