I'm sure other people are having issues with the sims 4 scenarios but I just want to also post my issues in the hopes EA actually fixes the game (no need to say they won't to me cause i know they never will). But i digress.I started their new scenario "new in town" where you take their premade sim Farrah Nouvel and meet people in the town you choose to invite them to an upcoming dinner party.It was fine, everything was working as good as ea could program it until i got to the "make friends" section of it. I do all the required tasks, I invited a sim over to the housw, i knocked on another sims' door, and then i started working on the "have 3 friends" goal and this is where i'm having issues.Im going along and i make one friend, the game recognizes it and i start working on the next friend. Im working on the next sim when i notice my counter for the goal had reset. I checked the friendship level on the first sim, sure enough we're still friends. I brush off the bug and figure ill just befriend a 4th sim and that'll get me to the goal and i can move on with the scenario.Well im 5 friend sims in and im still at 1 friend sim for thw goal. Even though my social menu is showing me that i indeed friended those sims, the challenge refuses to recognize it. And no amount of traveling or restarting the game helps. Im just annoyed at the issue and hope that ea fixes it soon. As if now, i have abandoned the "new sim in town" scenario.

I just figured it out. Your relationship level has to just be "friend", not good friend or best friend. I had full friendship bars with 6 people before I figured it out. I had to use a cheat to decrease my friendship level with 3 sims down to 50%. You could either use the cheat or friend 3 other sims... just don't pass that halfway mark to "good friends".

This worked. They must be JUST friends. Any higher resets it.

I am having issues with the scenario. I can't get it to acknowledge the initial introduce yourself to five people. I've literally done the introduction with over 15 Sims (both NPCs and non NPCs) and it still won't check off and move to the next section. Does anyone know what we can do or do I just give up on the scenario?

@Cece1638 I had the same issues but after reading the comments i went and friended some townies. Now I’m stuck because I’m waiting for a sim to call and I’m not getting the call 😢

I just figured it out. Your relationship level has to just be "friend", not good friend or best friend. I had full friendship bars with 6 people before I figured it out. I had to use a cheat to decrease my friendship level with 3 sims down to 50%. You could either use the cheat or friend 3 other sims... just don't pass that halfway mark to "good friends".

@Cece1638Same here, I have 6 friends in the friends section on the right but only 1 showing in the game scenario panel on the left. Its broken and therefore I cannot play this scenario as it won't progress.

@Cece1638 I had the same issues but after reading the comments i went and friended some townies. Now I’m stuck because I’m waiting for a sim to call and I’m not getting the call 😢

@Jacqpinks Were you ever able to progress with the waiting for phone call action? I am stuck at the same. With the above mentioned stuff I realize it likely has to be SPECIFICALLY a friend, but like you, have made a few…some have even called with random pop up chats upon answering but none ever clear the “answer the phone call” item.

I feel that my game is glitched due to being caught with the sim the game is expecting to call actually suddenly died as a young adult and now is a ghost! Not sure, but that has been my thought. However maybe the action is just bugged? I can’t advance so far regardless.

While on this topic and not sure if there is a way but it would be great if there was a means to simply ‘reset’ the current list of activities in a scenario in case they become glitched somehow. This way you wouldn’t lose all your progress and scenario build up, but still possibly re-fire the current events if glitched to hopefully refresh them to continue (cheat code or whatever)? Maybe there is a way and I’m not aware. Of course if the activity is just bugged that may not help either I guess lol

The Welcome Wagon for this scenario never showed up for me - verified files and have completed every other objective for it. Not sure what to do now.

I’m having this issue too. She is able to pick up ALL other calls (to go to festivals, advice to hang out with someone, inheritance, etc.) My theory is that one of her friends, Anaya Jang, called and said something along the lines of being new in town and trying to set something up with one other Sim or with multiple Sims (like a hangout). I believe I just backed out of it completely thinking that the call would come again (eventually) but hasn’t. Like it’s been a full Sim week. I know this doesn’t solve the problem but this is a part of the bug that may/not have an effect on finishing the scenario. ❣️
