It isn't hard to use Sims4Studio. (Trust me... if I can use it, anybody can use it.) And there are a million tutorials on the site, covering anything cc-related you'd want to know about. I recommend it highly.
IMO, anybody who's going to add cc to their game should at least have a working knowledge of S4S (or s4pe for those who prefer it...), to help with issues. Sometimes, CC+EA=Issues.
