Try removing your Mods folder to your desktop and restarting your game to see if you still have the issues with the blank grey boxes and the New Game button. If the problem doesn't occur without Mods, you may have a broken/outdated Mod. Check the list on the first page of this thread to see if your Mods are listed and need updating. After you update your Mods if you are still having the grey boxes and New Game Button issue try the 50/50 method to find the problem. Put half of your mods/cc into the mods folder then start the game and see if the issue is still there. If the issue is not there, then you know that those items work okay with the game. Then you can test the other half of your cc/mods. If the game doesn't work with the first half, you will need to keep testing them to see what is causing problems. Then you will need to test the second half of your cc/mods too.
Sims 4 Studio posted a workaround for the hair issue. just run the batch fix for Allow CC for Random. You can download Sims 4 Studio here: http://sims4studio.com/ You will need a membership to download the program but, membership is free. After you install the program, choose "Content Management" from the menu at the top of the page, the "Batch Fixes"; "CAS"; "Allow CC For Random"; "Run"
