I doubt this is a Mac specific issue so have moved your thread to the Games & Mods forum for broader input.
It doesn't matter if you have one piece of CC or a thousand, it only takes one piece to be incompatible with the current patch level to cause problems so testing a completely clean Sims 4 folder would be the most helpful troubleshooting - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues-Mac/READ-FIRST-Sims-4-Mac-Help-Guides-and-Troubleshooting/m-p/4612394#M163
