Cannot delete or move items in build/buy mode (Non-Residential Rental)

I've been trying to edit a "Retail" lot but I'm getting issues similar to others here.  If I click on a item I can only delete one thing.  Not two, etc.  But if i switch to "Destroy" ("K" button) I can delete an item, but only one.  Then switch back to click on another item to delete, but again only works once.  Going back and forth is not normal in the least.  Very odd and very frustrating.
