Hi again,
I'm very sorry, I was so very frustrated and angry with the replies/lack of assistance I got from EA that I had to walk away from EA and The Sims 4 for a while ... I've literally only just come back to it now.
I don't have any lastexception files in my game folders at all.
Having said that, I'm just installing the latest game updates since January, and will test again to see if it's an issue still. I came on this site to see if anyone else had found an answer 🙂
And ... it's still an issue.
New game, new sim, new household, same error when trying to buy retail lots.
Just in case it matters or someone can see a pattern, I have :
- The Sims 4 Premium Edition;
- The Sims 4 Get Together;
- The Sims 4 Get to Work;
- Cool Kitchen Stuff;
- Perfect Patio Stuff;
- Luxury Party Stuff;
- Spay Day;
- Outdoor Retreat;
And under add-ons and bonuses:
- Holiday Celebration Pack;
- Up All Night Digital Content;
- Awesome Animal Hats Digital Content;
- Life of the Party Digital Content;

I'll be moving this to general issues once you tell me that you've seen the new thread.
Doesn't seem to be the 'usual bug' that was around since I was not able to reproduce on your save and you still get it no matter what.
Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

Other than a problem with this tmlce64.dll that seems to be related to something Trend Micro, I can't see anything wrong (your drivers are from Dec and there's newer ones but that's not the problem)
You might wanna reinstall that Trend Micro Program (or remove) you have.
I don't think the issue is related but ..
Do you have access to another computer you could test this on ?

As expected, both stopping and uninstalling Trend didn't fix it.
I do have another computer that I can try on ... it'll take me a few days to do, so I won't be back for a little while.
Just for troubleshooting. It's really a weird issue.

this is about retail lots or restaurants, right ? You can't buy any of the others.
Are you using mods/cc in your game ?
