cant click on sims/interact error: nonetype

Hi,

When I try to interact with or click on Sims, nothing comes up. I can click on objects and move my sim, but not click on the sim. if cheats bar is open i comes up with the error: nonetype message.

ive spent days trying to fix this issue.  I've tried everything, including different save files and removing them completely from the folder. I use mods/cc; I've tried removing them, but it's still not working. Tried disabling them on the game, still not working. ive tried repairing the game. ive tried removing localthumbcache.

I am gutted, I love this game, but it's constantly not working.
