Can't figure out how to download/install custom content

I've watched several tutorials on this topic and still can't get it to work. I've downloaded a .zip file, I try to open it with WinZip to extract the other files and it won't work. It keeps trying to ...

It's just regular custom content. No mods. But any of the ones that came in a .zip file would not open. I don't know if I did something wrong or my computer just doesn't wanna work for them.
