Can't place some CC after latest update :<

It's normal for a patch to affect CC. Only thing you can do is remove whatever isn't working anymore and wait for the creator to update it if they are able to.

Sims4Studio will probably have a batch fix when its updated.

Thank you ladybreid :) Did you have trouble placing full size CC beds? I should have been more clear in my follow-up post. I can not place any double/full CC beds :(

seems to be only full/double beds. The singles and tots are good to go, I havent found other stuff yet having any issues.

CC double beds might be broken because they don't have the cats can jump on beds and sleep animation that will come with C&D EP.

The workaround for the new beds disappearing is to place the bed, then go to manage worlds. Then go back into the home, and the bed should be there.

I haven't noticed any shadows.. but I'll look the next time I start up the game. As for the beds, it's been widely reported as a legitimate bug for CC double/full sized beds.

You need to register with the site to access the download page for the program but it is free.

I'm noticing the same thing about the weird shadows.

It's the same for couches :(

Literally all you have to do is open it, open the 'Tools' menu and select 'Batch fixes', 'Objects' and finally 'Fix beds for Cats & Dogs patch'. In the window that opens, check that the address for your mods folder is correct and then click 'Run'. That's it. There's nothing to be intimidated about, it's super simple.

Well, I'm happy to report I took the plunge, installed S4S and did exactly what you told me to do... it worked!! I'm so proud of myself (lol!) I couldn't have done it without the hand-holding... that's for sure. Thanks so much! (I have to admit, I love being able to delete packages I no longer want... very easy-peasy!) :)
