CAS is Broken

Product: The Sims 4

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 4
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats and Dogs Jungle Adventure Vintage glamour
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I'm unsure
What happens when the bug occurs? I cannot get into CAs at all

I cannot edit any pre-existing sims in CAS, I have tried multiple times and have been sent to a loading screen each time, it loaded for about an hour one time and I still could not get into CAS. HELP!

Since you said you've removed mods and CC and it still can't get into CAS, there are a few things you can try.

1 - Repair the game through Origin or EA App, whichever you use.  Once done, start the game and try going to CAS to see if that fixed it.  If it does, you're good to go.  If not, then try the things below.

2 - Move your mods folder to your desktop, delete the localthumbcache file and start the game.  Try going to CAS.  If that works, then it's probably a broken mod or CC item which you will have to hunt down and either update or remove.  If it doesn't, try again, this time with just your mods in the mods folder, no CC.  Do it again, with just CC and no mods this time.  If either works and the other doesn't, then you'll know where to look to find whatever is broken and will need hunt it down.  Depending on how many files you have, the 50/50 method is probably the fastest, but it might be easier to test mods one at the time and CC with the 50/50 method.  You can also use Sims4Studio to look at every CC item you have individually too. I find it faster at times.

3 - Create a new user folder by moving your entire "The Sims 4" flolder to your desktop then start the game to create a new user folder that has never had mods or CC in it.  Start a new game and see if it lets you into CAS.  If that works, then again, it's probably a broken mod or CC item.  Then shut down and copy the saves folder only from the old user folder to the new folder and restart the game and try going to CAS.  If CAS still works, then you'll need to hunt down the broken mod or CC and update or remove the problem file or files. If it doesn't, then your save file may be corrupted.  If that is the case, then you can try to recover an earlier save using the Recover option in the Load Menu.  If you can't recover an earlier save, then you'll have to abandon it and start a new one.

    Hope this helps.
