@l0grimreaper0l Some necessary questions:
- Which loading screen? Is it the game itself, a save, a household?
- Have you tested with no mods/CC? Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.
Hello,
I'm so sorry for the late reply.
Its the loading screen when I try to load my save file. I only have one save file and one household at the moment so it does not load at all.
Before and after the recent updates, I have tried removing the mods and cc the way you have stated and it still doesn't work. I even took out my save files to the desktop and ran the game and then put my save files in the new sims 4 file that loaded. I have checked all my mods and cc and updated them. As of recently I realized I had missed out on some mods and had the older versions of it, updated those as well and the game is still stuck. I was having a last exception error message generated even when the game was stuck on the loading but for the past 2 times (when I fixed my outdated mods, there is no last exception). I will run my game again in a while to check and if it provides me with an exception message then I will update and also if it works smoothly, I will update that too. For now, I will appreciate any help that I can get. Thank you.

@l0grimreaper0l Try this test, please:
- Create a new user folder (your old files will still be available to put back!): https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/resetting-the-game-to-factory-settings-without-reinstalling/
- Start Sims 4 and start a new save.
- If that works, exit then copy your old save files out of your old Saves folder into the new folder.
- Start Sims 4 and use "Load" to try to load that save file.
