[HSY] High School Day Not Ending On Time

Ongoing issue for a few months now, I kept hoping it would get patched with recent updates but it hasn't. When I follow my teen sims to high school, the school day event does not end at 3pm as it is supposed to. Instead, the event timer continues to pulse and sit on empty, and all the Sims are completely frozen until I manually end the school day. It's run all the way until 5pm a couple times, but when I manually end the school day my Sim is penalized for ditching class. She'd been there two hours past class end 😭

I do use high school related mods but the issue is recurring even with removing them, and the creator themself has confirmed the issue is on the game side.

Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted pack tag to fit conventions of the forum.

  • Nore5544 You don't have to remove the mod (unless that's all the mod does). If you're using MCCC, for example, just turn off that setting. It can take at least a few Sim days for the game to get back to normal; I've seen reports of up to a Sim week.

If you're still having issues after that, test with no mods at all in a new save.

I followed the directions to create a clean folder and started a new save, the issue no longer occurs in either the new save or a backup of my original one. Issue seems to be solved, no idea what caused it but the clean folder seems to have worked!

SonozakaiSisters, their mod is the one I use and I trust their verification. The clean folder approach resolved the issue so I suspect it must've been a save file issue since I was only experiencing it in my legacy.

It happens to me too. The countdown timer which appears at high school freezes at 0. Only after several sim hours does it go to the next 'schoolday' stage. For example lunch would only start at 1pm. That means that they stay at school way longer. My sim stayed there once until 11pm. When back home the time goes back to around 3-4pm but it's just annoying that school takes so long. The problem still appears in a new save file aswell as a whole new folder. It's not because of mods because I removed them from the folder and the problem was still there. I would really appreciate any help.

Nore5544 When you removed mods, did you also remove CC? Before that, did you use a mod to change the game time at all? When game time is trying to rebalance itself after mod removal, it doesn't happen right away. However, you can also test in a new save.

I removed everything from my mods folder so all mods and cc. I did use a mod to change the game time and that might have messed up the time, but the problem also occurs in a new save and without mods. I'm currently playing in a new save without mods and the problem isn't as big in this save, but it gets worse when playing on the 3x speed option. About how long does it take for the game time to rebalance itself and should I remove the mod I used?
