cc/mods vs dlc

I use both CC/Mods and DLC but I tend to use mods more often because of the fact that DLC doesn't offer everything I want in my game, like Mods can be more realistic because a mod creator making a smoking mod doesn't have to worry about the backlash that EA would if they added smoking. I don't hate EA's DLC as much as other people do, I think it could be better or just less expensive but I still use it. I think mods one of the best options for expanding your game if you want more to your actual sims.
