Surprisingly, its not a mod, but every single bit of CC - I can't even add in a CC wallpaper that I made (which is a recolour of an EA base game - I needed a different colour, so used that to learn how to make CC)
Plot twist. I checked with just mods and no CC, and it worked. Then I removed everything again, and deleted the localthumbcache.package, then put the mods back in and restarted, and it's back...
It turns out that when I did the check last time, I put in all mod folders except one - and when I started testing CC, that folder was added in with the first group I tested, and it wasn't removed again when I was doing the remove to see what doesn't work, as it was a mod folder.
The issue was a mod found on Curseforge - All Worlds are Residential by Zerbu
- @luthienrising I have know clue where to make a new comment, but my mods have been acting up since the 19th and would not let me go into the sims. I have tried getting the sims back again and now the mods file is not there anymore what does that mean?

Sims 4 basically shuts down. I've been having this problem for months, ever since this summer. I started my Sims 4 one day and it worked perfectly, then I realized my 240-ish mods weren't enabled, so I enabled mods and restarted Sims 4. I started it and the classic "Your mods" thingy showed up, but the X and Okay buttons were disfigured. Then I pressed to start a new game, no sim showed up. It was just the background, so I tried X-ing out. Didn't work, tried Control Alt Delete, didn't work, I right-clicked it and pressed the close tab, didn't work. It only closes when I restart my computer. I tried taking out some mods and only allowing a batch to test if it is a specific mod, said that Maxis doesn't support mods or something like that. I've tried submitting a form but got no response.
Hi @CeryleG . The version of All Worlds Are Residential on CF seems to actually not be the most recent one. Get that from Zerbu's Tumblr post.
Hi @littlealiylee. I'm not sure what you tried or where you're looking for your mods, but for starters, if you've got something like OneDrive or iCloud syncing Documents, unsync the Electronic Arts folder. These syncing programs break Sims 4. After that, head to How to Use Mods/CC to make sure you're set up right.
Hi @ankbreeze. You've got outdated UI mods, it sounds like. Start with the lists at Broken/Updated Mods , which covers updates since late September. If you still have issues, follow the link there to the previous lists, which cover late July to late September, for any that were updated then and not reupdated later. If you still have issues after updating mods, you'll need to isolate the culprit.
Whenever the goal screen for holidays and by extension the veterinarian research screen comes up, it looks very weird. It seems to be glitched. Anyone recognizes this and perhaps know a solution? Other visuals are perfect.
Anyone know what this glitch is/means and how to fix it?
This is on almost all tabs where I have to select an option. I do have CC downloaded.
