Clothing from Expansion packs not working [I HAVE NO MODS OR CC]

basically out of the blue all of the clothes/hair/accessories from all the Expansion packs I own (Cottage Living, Cats & Dogs, City Living, Get to Work, Get Famous, Get Together and Seasons) stopped working in CAS and when I put them on my sims I get the red and white squares glitch.

I play with CC and I'm familiar with these kinds of problems and with the 50/50 method so I started with removing all of my mods all at once and the problem persists. I have nothing in the mods folder as of now but the glitch is still there. base game clothing works normally and so did my CC when I tried to put it back. the issue entirely comes from the Expansion packs and I don't know what to do. I tried repairing the game from the EA app twice, nothing changed. this has never happened before, I had the packs for years and they always worked perfectly.

what should I do? please help, I'm so lost
