The Curseforge app is already in French (even though, some parts of the app are still in English!) 😅
I still did not have a feedback from the support, but as it is the week-end, I might not get any feedback from them before Monday. I will post here when they will give me feedback.

Interesting problem and one that it seems Curseforge need to address. Can you change the language to French in the app? What did their support come back with? Hello,
I was happy to see that Curseforge can now be used for the Sims 4 on Mac. I installed it, but I was disappointed because I encountered a problem.
I play the Sims in French, and inside the "Electronic Arts" folder in my documents, my save files folder is named "Les Sims 4". The problem is that Curseforge creates a new folder named "The Sims 4" to install mods, so I can't see them in game as it is not the active folder for me to play...
Does anyone knows if there is anything I can do in Curseforge to switch names from "The Sims 4" to "Les Sims 4", or in Origin, to change my save file directory name from "Les Sims 4" to "The Sims 4" ?
I do not know if this is any issue only related to Macs or if it is also the case for PC, but I couldn't find any corresponding topic, so I guess it might be a Mac-specific problem, as Sims 4 in Mac Curseforge has been available for a few days only...
Also, Curseforge finds so many instances of the Sims 4 on my computer, with various "numeric" references, and in various locations (14 in total, see attached screenshot) ! I am wondering if that could also create a problem.
Thanks a lot for your help !
Edit: I have also contacted Curseforge for support on that problem.

Curseforge will have needed permission to access removable disks in order to link to the game if it is installed on an external drive. Were you prompted to allow permission? This is standard protection built into macOS. You can manually allow permission in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Files & Folders. - @JazmineAct Did not know it finally had Mac support until I saw this post. Got super excited and updated my CurseForge app.
CurseForge app is still useless as it can't sort mods nor does it recognize any of the mods I downloaded from CurseForge as being on CurseForge and therefore also does not support updating any of them. So back in the trash it goes. - crinrict3 years agoHero+@JazmineAct Interesting.
There is that option but the Sims 4 game is greyed out, and you cant click on it. I tried using the Electronic Arts folder but apparently it needs to be the actual game folder. I did find a workaround however. I can keep sims in my external hard drive but just add a symlink to my desktop. That way, when curseforge scans my computer, it picks up sims 4 without me needing to manually locate it on my hard drive!
- crinrict3 years agoHero+@JazmineAct Doesn't the mac version have an option to manually navigate to the external drive ?
For the PC version you can click on the game, the click on Locate Game and + Manually add game which lets you navigate to the executable file. I found what was wrong!
Just in case any mac users come across this issue, your sims 4 game can't be stored on to an external hard drive if you want to use the scan option. I decided to delete my sims game from my external hard drive and download it on my laptop and now curseforge has found sims 4 installed on my computer.
Hopefully someone knows a way where we can have sims installed on an external hard drive and still use curseforge!
Thank you for your reply!!
Im a bit confused now though. Curseforge came out on twitter stating mac support is now out?
Also, I'll take your advice and just do manual downloads for now. I was really looking foward to using curseforge for mods 😢
