Curseforge and Sims 4 for Mac

The Curseforge app is already in French (even though, some parts of the app are still in English!) 😅

I still did not have a feedback from the support, but as it is the week-end, I might not get any feedback from them before Monday. I will post here when they will give me feedback.

I think you can manually define the file path in the settings. But even after I did that (in English) CurseForge insists that all the mods I got off CurseForge aren’t supported by CurseForge so I can’t actually do anything with them in the app - certainly no updating or organizing. Just view them. All together in a jumble. All labeled with their file name and a not-supported-by-CurseForge standard thumbnail.

I'm afraid both of these issues are bugs that we are aware of, and might take some time to fix.

Unfortunately there aren't any workarounds that I can suggest in the meantime.

So I guess non-English Mac Users will have to wait for a fix! In the meantime, I just use the simple "copy/paste" technique, to copy mods from the directory created by Curseforge to my actual Sims 4 save file directory. Not the best, but it does the trick!

Which settings are you talking about? The Sims 4 settings or CurseForge settings? I can't find it in any of them, so if you have an idea, I would be happy to know! I was thinking that there might be a command line parameter to launch the Sims 4 to do this? But so far, I didn't find anything about it.

As others have noted, right now the CF app only deals with English mod folders. So you will have to move the things you download from the English one CF creates to the actual one in French. CF is aware of it, but it's complicated and there is no ETA on when it will be fixed.

I couldn't come across a thread with a solution to my issue, I did find some people having the same issue as me but no solution. I have found one and want to share this is if you are having to manually adding SIMS4 game folder to an external HD which is used for the game as I am. You have to go to add manually in CurseForge and then choose your external drive do not try and do it from documents or applications it will not work just pick you external drive and it should connect and have the folder added successfully. 

So this is a confusing issue and confusing to word correctly. I am trying to download Curseforge and use it but that means i have to have Sims 4 downloaded on my actual computer instead of my SSD drive that i have. I have Origin and all my mods and such on my SSD drive because its a lot. Anyways, when downloading Sims to my actual computer it reset everything on my origin and removed all packs from my game for some reason so i clicked download on all the packs i had and now i keep getting a message saying "you ran out of space on your designated drive please clear up space before continuing" even though i have PLENTY of space on both my laptop and my drive. No matter what i do, and i mean no matter what, i can't get it to work.

My question also is, can i not just have curseforge and sims 4 on my SSD drive only? When i did that curseforge couldnt detect anything.

Currseforge can be pointed to wherever Sims is located, and they provide support on how to do that.
