I find this very pretty, I can easily imagine it belonging to the game even with no other CC, because it doesn't look excessively detailed even though I play on ultra... It does look weird in CAS, I admit, but in game, I think it's very pretty. Although it depends on the texture, I guess.

I felt the same way about alpha hairs, till I took them out. Now a month later, I think they look out of place. Also, you used a bad EA hair as an example. Clay hair has come a long way.....

Meanwhile, alpha hair doesn't fit in because of the texture. There are also clipping and transparency issues. This used to be one of my favorite hairs but now looking at it, all I see is how out of place it looks.

Putting clay hair and alpha hair side by side makes it easier for me to see how out of place it is in a game that uses this style. I think she looks much better in hair that matches his.

I use alpha clothes because I don't like some of the maxis clothes hair I am not a big fan of cc hair but I do like this one creator on Mod The Sim

Maxis match by far. Alpha tends to look out of place to me.

Though I did use a lot of it in sims 3. They had be textured a certain way though. Otherwise I thought they were fairly ugly.

Peggy has those disgusting black roots but I did like some of her meshes for example. So I'd have to go hunting for retextures.

For hair it's Maxis Match all the way. I have nothing against Alpha hair a lot of it is really awesome but I don't like mixing it with the maxis stuff in world it just looks too out of place.

For clothing I prefer Maxis match but I will add the occasional non Maxis Match piece if I really like it. I will try to make sure to pair the cc item up with maxis match or non cc stuff just so it doesn't overwhelm things too much. I avoid anything to photorealistic/photoskinned like the plague however and prefer to limit the amount of non simlish items in my games.

Alpha looks out of place so I don't use it.

Maxis match only for me. Alpha hairs look really out of place in the game.

For me Maxis match, in all versions (TS2, 3 and 4).

Maxis Match (TS2-TS4). I prefer consistency in design. It keeps me visually immersed.

Maxis match. I do not use alpha hairs even though there are some lovely ones out there.

where do you guys recommend me to get my maxis match cc ? other than the sims resource. Thank you <3
