congratulations :)
Thank you. I played for a good couple of years without Erik winning for his music. I put him through Uni, earning a Distinguished Fine Art(s) degree. Put him in the Actor career, where he won a number of the Accolades, but it just wasn't fulfilling. After that save went south, and I restarted him from his Teens, he gained fame even faster, each time. ( I can no longer recall just how many times I've had to restart.) The fastest this Sim has become a Global Superstar as a Teen, was ten Sim days. TEN. I must have it down pat, by now, or something. When all else failed, and I had him license lyrics, too, and still nothing, I finally placed him in the Entertainment Career. Well, his boss came to him and invited him to submit some of his music for consideration. I got all excited, thinking FINALLY (and why didn't I think of this career, first?). He won, via a pop down. No invitation to come to the Show to see if he won. Again, it was great, but empty. Authors publishing a book get a nomination along with that invitation to come to the Show. You can imagine my disappointment. His own father wrote a book about being the father of a Rock Star and he won. Face/palm. Many thanks to those players who pointed me in the correct direction and gave me the name of the mod that removes the week-long cool down in between licensing music. It has to be songs, not lyrics, although one of them has said they have won for lyrics. Still Erik has had no luck. That's okay, in my mind he writes lyrics for those songs, too Best Song is Best Song. I'm finally having a BLAST.
