Do you play with CC or Vanilla?

I play with CC because I'm a hair/makeup/clothes FANATIC. I don't play with much more than CAS CC, like all the other mods and stuff-I used an insane amount of mods in TS2 and it ruined my game-but I have over a GB of CAS CC. It makes my game fun and I feel like I can individualize my sims so much more than with the Maxis stuff!

I just started using the mccc mod and I really like it. First mod I've ever used in a sims game, and now I'm open to trying other things if it'll help my gameplay.

I tried cc in sims 4 a while back and ended up getting rid of it. In certain light the girls hairs would look partially bald and it just didn't go with the rest of the world around them.

I played Sims 1 Vanilla, Sims 2 modded, Sims 3 vanilla, and Sims 4 I have played vanilla up until just recently. I guess the games previously weren't boring enough for me to branch out and psych it up, but I also think I forgot how creative the modding community was. Sims 4, while brilliant with options, is kind of lacking in the excitement factor after a while.

i couldn't live without mods and CC. i tried vanilla for years, i couldn't do it any longer. the more CC the better.

I played Sims 3 vanilla but have MCCC and loads of CC for the Simms 4. MCCC probably saved my interest in the game as I love seeing the town evolve and as a generational player, love seeing the children who move out of the house have children and grandchildren and change careers.

The CC isn't really about the items exactly, but more about the lack of colour options. I often give my Sims colour palettes and style type that they dress is (like how most people stick to a few colours for the bulk of their wardrobe) and without a colour wheel I didn't have enough options in the colours I wanted. So CC fill the need. And CC beds- we need more beds.

I had many mods in my game but that made it so extremely slow, that I removed most of them. The only mod I use is MC Command Centre.
(By the way, this may seem like a dumb question but what's Maxis Match and Alpha exactly? If Maxis match is something like TS4 style then I only use those...)

Maxis match looks like it came from EA. It matches all of the ts4 styles. Alpha looks more realistic. To me, if fits more with the sims 3 styles. I know you asked months ago but I saw no one answered your question lol I'm sure you've found out already but just in case :)

I've been shamelessly playing video games with mods for decades. This game is no different.

Depends on the game. Sims 2 has CC but Sims 3 and 4 are pure Vanilla. LIke I said already - I never use CC while a game is in development that way I rarely have issues with the games - so only once Sims 4 is done will I decide if it needs CC. Sims 3 did not - as I own everything and the whole store for it - so I think it has plenty - lol - but Sims 4 - well I will see where it stands once it is done being produced.

I am one that likes to see issues if they happen and look for solutions for the issues instead of hiding it with mods etc. I would rather fix the game or better yet have the dev's fix it. But using mods and CC changes how the game is made or adds things to it, not in the game - which can make it harder to see and fix issues when they are still working on the game - never mind that some content can create issues not part of the game. So I would rather be patient with what the game has, and then once Maxis has finished it off - then will decide. Plus any CC or mods also will have no other issues either and will be right up to date.
