@sleepy_rae More mods can cause a delay in menus appearing for sure. The bigger impact would be from mods that add or change interactions you'd see in the pie menu—imagine the mod loading a bunch of options or lists in the background. But having a large number of mods can tax the game engine on its own, and an overstressed game engine is one of the causes of a delayed response to clicks.
If you want to figure this out, remove all your mods and then start adding them back. Keep testing to see what effects the mods have, and maybe you'll find a balance between response times and more mod-related content that works for you. Or maybe you'll find one broken mod that's having an outsize impact, and you can remove only that one mod.
