Does more mods cause the pie menu to take a longer amount of time to load?

I have a TON of mods in my games, I have a lot of packs as well. I always notice how it takes around 3 to 4 seconds for the interaction/pie menu to load when I click on sims as well as computers and I'm assuming it's because it has to load a lot of options. When I click on anything else (like if I click on the ground to make my sim move, click on the fridge or some random plant) it takes maybe a milisecond or just 1 second for it to load.

  • @sleepy_rae  More mods can cause a delay in menus appearing for sure.  The bigger impact would be from mods that add or change interactions you'd see in the pie menu—imagine the mod loading a bunch of options or lists in the background.  But having a large number of mods can tax the game engine on its own, and an overstressed game engine is one of the causes of a delayed response to clicks.

If you want to figure this out, remove all your mods and then start adding them back.  Keep testing to see what effects the mods have, and maybe you'll find a balance between response times and more mod-related content that works for you.  Or maybe you'll find one broken mod that's having an outsize impact, and you can remove only that one mod.
