Error code 109:fd81e803:cf89c7c3

Has anybody gotten this error code before and knows what to do? Already deleted conflicting mods, duplicates and localthumbcache. Discord support didn't help either ☹️

  • UPDATE: After deleting more mods hidden in the BetterExeptions error report and starting up the game again the were two mods mentioned to have invalid tuning. These were at first one Brazen Lotus recipe of the Cream Of Pumpkin Soup and secondly "HarveeLocketMERGED.package". After reloading the game it popped up a tuning as a potential problem in regards to story progression. I updated a mod from Zebru which is the only one search result that popped up for "story progression" in my mods folder. Didn't work. It was the NPCC mod which shouldn't be outdated at the moment, but it was the reason I could not load into my household. There are some other little problems still going on but I found the big one!

@luthienrising Hi. Thanks. How can I say this as nicely as possible?

You just copy and paste things into the answers. You don't read people's posts carefully, but rather just paste in a bulk-text, most of which is utterly irrelevant. This is why I rarely use these forums. Next time, I won't invest my time describing so exactingly what I did. You didn't read it anyhow.

The only thing you posted that is remotely, potentially relevant is the save thing.

@ThatCraigGirl Copy-pastes of common instruction sets are used in any support area, or people doing support have time to support everyone (and time is an issue, as all but people marked "EA" here are doing this for free). A clean folder can often clear out glitches in the game, which is why people doing Sims 4 support have been suggesting it as a useful test since the game came out. If you're not interested in trying that and then making sure that CC (which you say in this thread that you use) adds back in with no issues afterward, that's up to you. The hope is that the clean folder clears the full issue out and it doesn't resume when you add the CC back. It's up to you whether you want to try this method of clearing the glitches out.

If a clean CC-free folder doesn't resolve the glitchiness, you might have save corruption. And it would be amazing if you don't.

  • this is what happened when I opened the game.

reopened to all my sims gone,

nobody is in the world anymore

  • would like to add i did remove anything new i added and whatever stuff people usually suggest and its still the same..

@himchanu Could you do some testing for me? I'd like to look at a few different things.

    1. If you drag the Mods folder to the desktop and delete the file called localthumbcache then start the game, does it still behave this way?

    2. What's in your Saves folder, and what is the full address of that folder? Info on getting that full address from in-game is here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Mod-CC-Issues/INFO-How-to-Use-Mods-and-CC/m-p/13439359#Installing, see point 3.

@anatabana Have you tested with no mods/CC on a new save? That's a necessary first step to diagnose the source of your problem. There can be multiple possible causes, and this one has to be ruled out first.

    1. Drag your Mods folder from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 to your desktop.
    2. Delete the file called localthumbcache from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.
    3. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up.
    4. Now open Sims 4 and start at NEW to see if you still have the problem.
    5. If you don't, test your regular save next.

I can support you through the rest of the process, or you can use the various instruction sets in How to Use Mods and CC

It happened to me twice in the past. I was lucky to find out the problem was with one of the mods I just recently put in the mods folder.

But I have a solution if anyone gets this error and panics. When the game kicks you out to manage worlds, don't relaunch the game yet.

Instead, choose a different household in your game that is friends with the error household. Select that household. Invite one of them to hang out at that house. Then use that one sim to call the rest of the family to that lot.

Save the game right there. After that, you can relaunch and choose that family like normal.

Then you can go on and sort out the mod that makes errors without losing anything or process.

(Mine was the "No Random Generated Townie")

  • I cannot get on the game after this popping up. I have uninstalled ALL mods, cleared localthumbcache. someone please help me fix it.

    @KaiBai116 Please try this:

    1. Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.
    2. Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options.
    3. Start with New to test if your issue recurs in a new game.
