Error code 111 after 10/30 update

Hi everyone!

So, after this last update (10/30) I just can't play with the family I have due to error code 111. I looked for previous posts on this subject and tried a couple of things.

What I've tried:

Removing Mods

Clearing cache

Repairing game

Playing with another household

Moving my family to another lot

Results: I am able to play with other families, and with my family IF I move them to another lot. When doing so, their original home's structure stays the same but absolutely ALL items get deleted, all base game's. The house is just as important as the family to me and it just loses all fun if I have to start it over, cause I have collections displayed going back 3 generations of hard work. *Dramatic pause*

Any help you might offer will be much appreciated.

@trrx1enx3ig9 Try putting them on a counter and then delete the counter.

If you can't figure it out, you can send me your save and I can take a look.

@trrx1enx3ig9 Did you use any custom foods ? Can you enter the game in build mode from the map ?

If so, search for any empty plates and delete those.

Hey, thanks for the answer!
I saw a post that said this also. Yes, I can access through build mode. But the dishes I have are the experimental ones. The black ones. And I just can't delete them. I used as cheats "testingcheats true" and "bb.moveobjects on". Still couldn't do it... Am I maybe missing something on how to do it?

There are a couple of things you can try to save the house intact or at least save the structure and the house contents separately. In build mode, you can try saving the house to your Library and then replacing the one in the game with the copy. Then move the sims back in. The downside is that the sims will lose connection with all the personal items and collectibles. You can reconnect with the collectibles by dropping them in a sim inventory and then putting them back where they were. For things like diplomas etc., you do lose the connection permanently. Some may still show who they belong to though.
The other way you can try is when you move the sims out, keep the furniture. Then move the sims back in. This way, you don't lose the connections to the collectibles and personal items, but you'll have to refurnish the lot. Everything you had will be in the household inventory, so it is a matter of just placing all the items back where they were. It will take you a bit of time to do that.

@CGrant56 Thanks so much for your reply, but the thing is that the furniture automatically gets removed. I had no luck with replacing it from the gallery either. But the comment below solved it. Thanks a lot for your help!

It is working normally now without mods - have to check the broken ones, but this will be ok.

@trrx1enx3ig9 I'm glad that helped. It's usually outdated/removed custom food mods. If you still have plates of those on your lot, 111 occurs.

To avoid in the future, make sure you clean up any empty plates on your lot before patching.
