This error is not caused by the current version of TOOL Mod (v2.9, August 20), based on testing.
If you are a mod user, please run a game repair then test in a new save with a clean folder (see https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/resetting-the-game-to-factory-settings-without-reinstalling/).
If you suspect a particular mod is causing this, please check Broken/Updated Mods & CC to see if it's updated and then test with only that mod installed, no others. If you can identify a particular current version of a mod causing this, with this method of testing, please let me know here.
