External Hard Drive and CC, Wont Work?

Hi so, 

I have recently moved my sims 4 game to an external hard drive. Everything with the game is completely fine, it moved my save files and everything runs smoothly, however, I tried to download CC into my game and it's not showing up, at all. the boxes in the settings that need to be ticked are ticked and it should work but it won't, and I'm just really confused. Like its acting like there is no CC there at all.
