Failed to launch error
I have updated my game, the hot fix of March 18th, and my game still doesn't launch with cc installed. I still get the message "Failed to launch game" when cc is installed.

its so annoying my game opened once after the march 17th update then it kept giving failed to launch game an error on our end caused the launch to fail try again a little later so i repair my game 2+ times then same thing so i have mod manger i disabled every mod it worked so idk if its ea or my mods i have 3,687 mods and also i have auto updates on i also just got the march 18th update still not working im gonna try to repair my game again okay so i repaired it for the thousandth time it feels like and still same error message im gonna remove my mods all of them again and see how my game is bc when i removed my mods earlier it loaded and i saw the family i last played with my child girl with no hair red and blue overalls the girl and boy adults just the default when u take there clothes off and no hair and all three were white even though they were black when i made them anyway i only saw my main menu and the one time my game lanuched yesterday with the march 17th update the menu was black bc of my ui cheats mod
If you have a fix pls help i cant help without some mods like mc command center ui cheats etc please help
im gonna disable all my mods again and see how my cas looks and live mode bulid mode etc and see if its good Edit: its good so idk if its my mods or EA bc before the updates my games were fine so idk and its not just me so i think its EA

Mine is doing the same and I also repaired the game even clearned the EA cache BUT when I removed my mods folder and started the game it did load, so I assume it's a mod thats broken and it's conflicting with whatever starts the game up.
What worked for me was removing my mods folder (just move it to your desktop), launch the game (DO NOT LAUNCH ANY SAVES WITH CC OR MODS), closing the game, moving the mod folder back into the game, and then launching again. Somehow this worked for me. Also make sure you've cleared the cache on the EA app (three lines in the corner > Help > App Recovery).
Edit: Tried it again not even 10 minutes later and it doesn't work anymore. Seems to just be happening with my CC since when i take out just CC and leave all my mods (my mods are up-to-date) the game still launches fine. Seems like I'll have to play CC free for now :( . I honestly wouldnt be surprised if EA broke all external CC on purpose to push the marketplace even further.

There’s no fix, they didn’t patch anything. Half of the CC are still not working in the sims, it’s the game’s problem. We need another patch so they’ll fix ALL the CC, they failed to do even that. March 18 update was completely useless
I agree that the patch for 18March is useless with mods my game doesn't want to start even if I did Ea App Recovery I even repaired my game and still nothing. But I did move my mods to my desktop and started the game with no problems!
Long story short please fix the freaking game!!
Nothing is working. I've done every step they would tell us to do. Removed the folder and created a new one. repaired. was able to get in twice but had gotten in but had black main menu screens. removed broken ui's, nothing.
I'm so mad about this. My game worked yesterday. I'm filming a machinima for my very small channel that heavily relies on CC, some of which I worked hard on to be accurate, and now I can't work on it! I hope this is not permanent and they fix this or several players will be pissed. It's likely due to the addition of Marketplace that the mods folder isn't working right / is the cause of this (my game was able to launch without mods active right after the update, and when I checked to activate mods and CC, I got the same error as you). I really hope they figure it out cause lots of Mod and CC creators/users will not be happy. Like this is a collection I've been building up on for years.

I have the exact same issue. I waited until after the second hotfix to update, removed all mods, verified game files on Steam and cleared cache in the EA app. No mods in the mod folder. The game starts to load, the first loading screen appears and then shuts down 30 secs later saying there is an issue with the EA app on their end. I tried 5 times. The game was working fine in offline mode yesterday afternoon.This is unacceptable. What do you suggest as a solution?
Can confirm, having this same issue. Did all the steps, hell, even went to ChatGPT to ask some troubleshooting. Scanned my mods through Modhound, went to all the sites to confirm updates. All my mods and cc should be good to go. However, it won't even launch with them. I have played the sims since 2001 and I have never been THIS tired of them.
