I just tested two cc folders people sent me that cause issues for them and I had no problems launching the game.
Really don't know what's going on.

Ive just done all of the above. Ive moved all of my mods to different folders and kept in only cc. Still giving me this same error every **bleep** time i press play on it! I have no BE or LE reports. Ive also spent the last day and a bit sorting through on my mod manager looking for broken cc and have found hardly anything. Why can yall never fix your game? Its bi-weekly atp im so fed up yall make this all so unenjoyable and just harder on modders. no one wanted the marketplace update in the first place but of course yall never listen to anyone but your money-obsessed bosses

Honestly, I’m at my limit right now.
Since The Sims 4 first came out, I’ve bought pretty much every DLC, kit, and piece of additional content available. When it comes to marketplace items, I haven’t purchased any yet, but I’ve always been open to doing so if something felt worth it. I also regularly support modders who create high-quality content. I’ve invested a lot of time and money into this game simply because I genuinely enjoy it.
And through all of it, I’ve been patient. Every update, every bug, every mistake—I’ve put up with it.
But now, it just feels like all of that was for nothing.
All the CC (custom content) I’ve carefully built up since around 2015 is now completely unusable. It’s over 100GB of content, and I have no way of figuring out what’s actually causing the issue. Some items seem to work at times, and then suddenly they don’t.
I’ve already tried everything I can think of—installing hotfixes, repairing the game, and going through every troubleshooting step I could find. I’ve spent nearly five hours trying to fix this.
And the game still won’t even launch.
Just to be clear, I’m not using any script mods at all—not even MCCC. The only content I have installed is CAS and Build/Buy CC.

I updated my game yesterday and today both times I have removed the mods folder from the Sims 4 folder. Now when I tried to open the game with mods I keep getting an error from EA that there is an error and can’t launch the game. I have removed cache and it still won’t load. The only way for me to play is if I completely remove the mods folder! Just to add I have 2 mods mccc and UI and i have updated them. Mostly I use a lot of CC hair and clothes but the game wont load with that! Can this be looked at and fixed ASAP!!! I had no issues before the update!!!

Same, they said they updated to fix the mod issue but all it did now was make it not launch anymore :/ I been not wanting to update and holding back but then saw a post how someone game got fixed so I got excited and then it keeps giving me that error. Shame they don't properly test run these updates. And I know this is not a mod issue or a pc issue this is a EA issue becuase it didn't become an issue this bad in a decade until the Moola update came in... someone said they wanted this to happen and sometimes it feels like it :/

Hi you should be on this page where they offer solutions. Please paste the link below into google and it will take you to the EA Forum on this. (Just to say - for me (out of panic) I just kept retrying and pressing play - and it launched after the fourth try).

same! My game won’t start. I repaired it, and restarted my computer, took out my mods. It won’t even start.
