He doesnt come around at all
- crinrict4 years agoHero+@genesisxo26 They do seem very rare these days. Have you tried playing a family in Forgotton Hallow ? They might be more frequent there.

For as long as I've have the vampires pack, I have never had Vlad break into my sims house while my sims are sleeping.
Vlad, and any of the other random vampires that appear, have only ever knocked at the door and waited for my sims to ignore them before eventually leaving.

@crinrict is right that vampire breakins don't happen very often anymore. But they will still happen. What I found is that it happens most often in a single sim household that goes to bed early, before midnight. It still happens occasionally in multiple sim households but if any sim in the household is awake, then they won't break in. My vampires do come around on a more or less regular basis but usually my sims are awake so they just knock. If I ignore them, they go away eventually. But I think, but am not sure, that if you invite them in once, that it might improve the odds of one coming back when your sim is asleep and breaking in. Also don't have any garlic in the house and don't use the vampire lock on the door. Another thing I am not sure about but it seems to happen more often after you have played vampire households for a while and bought them perks. Then you might see them more often.
But tbh, the odds of a vampire breakin are very low now. I haven't seen one in a long time. It is certainly less likely now than it uses to be.
Hope this helps.

Thank you so much
@genesisxo26 Hello! In my experience, it varies a little per game. One thing I've noticed is that the chances diminish the longer you play a household. If you haven't seen Vlad within the first week or so, it gets less and less likely that he'll show up. (By the way, I've only ever had Vlad break in and none of the other in-game vampires but again that's just my experience.) So perhaps try this in a new save. Within a day or two of moving in, your sim should get a text from Vlad, welcoming them to the neighborhood and commenting on what a lovely neck they have. Try to go to bed fairly shortly after this text. I would say midnight might be a little too late and probably a 10 o'clock bedtime is better. You might have to experiment a little bit and you may have to test a few different saves. @CGrant56 is right that Vlad will not attempt a break-in if any sim is awake. I've even seen him walking up to the house only to turn around and go home, though sometimes he does come up to the door and knock. If you do see him come a-knocking, note what time it is. Then prepare to have your sims go to bed before that time the next night. Hope this helps!

Also if I don’t hear from him by the second day does that mean he definitely won’t show up? Like if I don’t get the text
