Hi @moonwariorautum Updated mods can still turn out to be broken, and definitely mods that haven't been updated can be broken. Please test without mods: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.

So I removed my mods, and figured out what was the problem. It was not my mods, but the Resource.cfg file. Deleting it and having the game replace it helped.

@moonwariorautum Thanks! Since you had a corrupted resource.cfg folder, you might consider going ahead and making a fresh user folder in general. Drag the whole Sims 4 folder out, start the game, exit, then copy files back into new folders and redo your Options.
