Game crashes after trying to exit CAS

Question

I recently transferred my Sims data to my new computer and have been trying to get things set up. I didn't transfer any CC or the MCC, just the game and the saved games I had on my other computer. I downloaded MC Command center, but no other CC.

When I go to enter CAS, I am able to make changes, but when I hit the check to exit out of it, my games crashes. I have tried clearing my cashes and deleting and redownloading MCC. I'm not really sure what to do past this?

Also, it frequently has a "lastexception" popup when I open the game, I'm not sure how to prevent that from happening every time?

Time to test without mods/CC at all. Delete the generated lastexception files so you only have any new ones starting now. These are useful error messages! But only if they represent the current state of your folders. Then drag the Mods folder to the desktop and rename it, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.

I took out the mods and didn't have any popups or anything. I wasn't able to test CAS bc the mod wasn't on and that's where I'm having the trouble. It's when I try to make changes in CAS with existing sims/games :')
