Time to test without mods/CC at all. Delete the generated lastexception files so you only have any new ones starting now. These are useful error messages! But only if they represent the current state of your folders. Then drag the Mods folder to the desktop and rename it, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.

I took out the mods and didn't have any popups or anything. I wasn't able to test CAS bc the mod wasn't on and that's where I'm having the trouble. It's when I try to make changes in CAS with existing sims/games :')
