game crashes when saving
the issue is when i'm building in the sims, i'll place a room and try to adjust the walls and i no longer can. sometimes the game also stops me from moving the camera around like i'm used to. so when this happens i know something is wrong, so i go to save the game and it lets me click save but then i get stuck on the saving screen indefinately. i've let it run for hours. eventually i have to force quit the game and when i return to the game, the game is not saved. i have to re-do my hours of work and then hope i can save then. it's happened twice in one save and once in another.
i have tried repairing the game and checking if my mods are out of date.

Have you tried fully removing your mods/CC?
If you currently have OneDrive running, please pause the OneDrive syncing option before launching the game. You can pause the syncing by right-clicking the cloud icon at the lower right corner on your taskbar.
If you still have issues after trying that, please run a DxDiag and attach that to your post for me.
