Game crashes when trying to load households

Hi guys. Since the first Infant Update, I havent been able to play at all.

My households got deleted, then the game wouldn't launch at all and now it loads up until the main page. 

When I try to play, it won't let me access the gallery nor will it let me choose a world to play. It instantly crashes.

I have deleted and installed the game multiple times, currently I have no mods at all. All saved files and mods are backed up somewhere and deleted out of my sims folder.

I have also tried repairing the game via the EA app multiple times - still not working. 

I don't know what else I can do.

On the screenshot you can see that the Icons are also not displayed correctly. Any button looks like that.

    Try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry
    • Start a new save game
    • Check if you still have the error
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
